You have an idea. We have an Artbox.

Through a 12-week incubation process in the Fall of 2022 — taking place digitally through a cutting-edge online platform — selected projects across all creative fields will be given an unprecedented opportunity to work with prominent business leaders and renowned cultural figures to develop a comprehensive package around their projects, including a business plan, marketing strategy, video pitch, and financing plan. Once this package (what we call “the Artbox”) is ready, the artists will have the exclusive opportunity to present their projects for financial support, including grants provided by KATAPULT and possible investments by high-profile cultural investors.

Deadline for applications: August 12, 2022 (11:59 PM, Yerevan time)

Application process

The deadline for applications is August 12, 2022 (11:59 PM, Yerevan time). Please note that applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered. We receive applications exclusively through the application portal. Applications sent via email or other means/channels will not be considered.

Evaluation process

Applications will be evaluated by a rigorous committee through a selection process, based on the following evaluation criteria:

  • Compliance with the rules: Incomplete, late, or off-topic applications will be considered irrelevant.

  • Artistic value: The coherency and potential artistic impact of the creative idea will be carefully analyzed by the evaluation committee.

  • Innovation: The project’s uniqueness and originality will be assessed.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset: The degree of self-financing as well as hybridization of resources will be studied closely.

  • Profitability: The project’s business potential for success is key. Therefore, the estimated risks and the expected proceeds for an invested amount will be observed: they need to turn out convincing from an investor’s perspective.

  • Audience Reach: Even if quality must prevail over quantity, a satisfying outreach is expected in terms of audience. A broad market potential relevant to the project’s field is required.

  • Credibility: In all of its aspects – creative, social, or economic – the project must set adequate, achievable, and realistic goals and expectations.

  • Social impact: The project should generate a positive impact on the community it interacts with.
